One of our prime duties is to serve people and being responsible citizens, such an exceptional work was executed by the Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Group of Institutions at Pillai college, New panvel on the 2nd of February, 2019. All the 50 institutions under M.E.S. such as Pillai HOC Engineering College, Chembur English High School and Junior College, Mahatma International School, etc. took charge of making the orphans’, senior citizens’ and many others’ day memorable by celebrating ‘COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY’.

This day was solely dedicated to the kids from various schools, orphanages and senior citizens from old age homes. Students of Pillai college, volunteers and teachers gave their all to warm the cockles of everyone’s heart. There was special conveyance provided to the respective NGO’S and associations. A variety of organizations such as Seva Daan, Bliss foundation, Vanvasi Kalyan ashram, Ashray homes for citizens, aroma kids garden, Jeevan jyoti charitable trust, etc. were present on this occasion and were wholeheartedly welcomed by all the teachers and volunteers. Different activities took place the whole day such as crafting, colouring, quiz competitions, drawing for kids, book donations and many other fun filled games for orphans.

There were unique activities and entertaining games such as musical chair, singing, music and dance/drama events for our guests from old age homes. Their age was no barrier as they were all extremely energetic and full of life. Every participant was awarded with prizes and everyone held gifts as a token of memory. Kids and children were mettlesome and they vibrantly spent their day without any complaints. The community service day turned out to be very satisfying and emotional as everyone thoroughly enjoyed the entire day by truly being a part of loving, sharing and spreading joy. A mark of infinite bliss and satisfaction could be seen on their faces and the day ended by wishing everyone good health and care.
